The pH Secret

Doctors and scientists are now discovering the pH secret. The power of hydrogen is the measurement of pH. The pH scale ranges from 1-14, with 7 being neutral. This potential of hydrogen is either acid, below 7, or alkaline, above 7. What we eat, drink and are exposed to through the environment ultimately affects our internal pH. The body pH should be slightly alkaline, just like our blood. Healthy blood pH is 7.365.
The Standard American Diet is SAD. It is a highly acid diet with an emphasis on protein, sugars, and unhealthy fats. Even a diet high in whole grains and lots of fruits creates excess acid. Eating these foods creates a lot of metabolic acid residue that the body stores away in fat cells.
Acid foods comprise 80% or our diet, when they should make up 20%. Green leafy vegetables contain all the alkaline minerals and chlorophyll necessary to buffer these acids, but we simply do not eat enough of them. We should be eating at least 10-15 different fresh fruits and vegetables daily.
To make matters worse, we drink too many acid beverages including tea, coffee, sports drinks, bottled water, pop and diet pop. Most bottled waters are filtered tap water. The filtering process removes all the chlorine and lye. Lye has a pH of 14, but it tastes bad. Bottled water has no minerals left after processing, and is a lifeless acid water. All of these contribute to the acid load that the body has to eliminate.
Acid waste also builds up in the body from our lifestyle choices. Smoking, stress, intense exercise and negative thoughts all increase the acid levels in the body. Insufficient hydration levels, air pollution, and exposure to the many metal and chemical man-made toxins in our environment also make the body more acidic.
What are the some of the symptoms of excess acidity?
• Low energy, chronic fatigue
• Excess mucous production
• Nasal congestion
• Immune issues with frequent colds, flu symptoms, and infections
• Nervous, stressed, irritable, anxious, agitated
• Weak nails, dry hair, dry skin
• Formation of cysts, such as ovarian cysts, polycystic ovaries, benign breast cysts (fibrocystic breasts)
• Joint pain or arthritis
• Muscle pain
• Leg cramps and spasms
• Gastritis, acid indigestion
These and many more intermediate and severe symptoms of excess acid can be found in the book Alkalize or Die, by Dr. Theodore A Baroody, published in 2001.
Many physicians agree that too much acid is unhealthy. In his book The pH Miracle for Weight Loss, Dr. Robert Young states, “The body retains fat as a protection against the overproduction of acids, caused by typical American diet. You are not overweight, you are over acidic. Your fat is actually saving your life. Without that fat protecting the cells, tissues and organs of your body from acids, you would be dead”.
The solution to weight loss and better health is to reduce the acid waste. Our body accumulates the acid waste when it is unable to neutralize it. The waste shows up as cholesterol, fatty acids, uric acid, kidney stones, and also appears as excess fat.
The body attempts to borrow the 4 main essential minerals from our vital organs and bones to buffer or neutralize the excess acid as it accumulates in our body. These essential minerals are sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium. Without sufficient quantities of these minerals, many degenerative diseases, and digestive issues develop.
The pH secret to weight loss and balancing out the body’s over acid condition is to increase the intake of alkaline foods and restructured, ionized alkaline water. Most alkaline foods are vegetables that must be consumed raw to retain their alkalinity.
Focus on making these high Alkaline Foods 75% -80% of your diet. There are other foods that can be eaten, but these are the best alkaline rich vegetables.
Kale, sea vegetables, burdock, cabbage, onion, taro, sweet potato, kohlrabi, parsnip, garlic, endive, mustard greens, ginger root, broccoli, bell pepper, mushrooms, sprouts, cauliflower, eggplant, pumpkin, collard greens, Brussels sprouts, chives, cilantro, okra, squash, lettuce, fermented veggies, watercress, carrots, dulse, sea veggies, dandelion, barley grass, wheat grass, wild greens, spiriluna, rutabaga, parsnips, chard, chlorella, and sprouts.
Many people simply do not eat enough of these alkaline vegetables. To reduce the accumulated acid waste it is a lot easier to drink restructured, ionized, alkaline water. The negatively charged alkaline water helps the body eliminate acids and toxins from fat cells, resulting in weight loss. Restructured ionized water has smaller clusters of water molecules, making the water more hydrating and better able to penetrate cell membranes to remove accumulated acid waste and toxins.
As Dr. Susan Lark states in her book, The Chemistry of Success, “If you are overly acidic, an alkaline water device can provide a safe, gentle, and effective way of restoring the pH balance of all the cells in your body as well as providing excess free electrons to act as super antioxidants.”
Restructured, ionized, alkaline, micro-clustered, mineral charged water makes more oxygen available to cells than distilled, reverse osmosis, carbon filtered, bottle or tap water. This technology is now the fastest growing water purification technology in North America.
Bob McCauley writes in his book, The Miraculous Properties of Ionized water, “Ionized water is not only the best water we can drink, it is the best substance we can possibly put into our body. Consumption of ionized water is critical if we wish to bring the body back into balance, a state known as homeostasis.“
Experience the pH secret by changing your eating habits to include more raw alkaline vegetables. Review the different types of beverages consumed and look to reduce the most acidic ones. Making your diet more alkaline based will result in a change in your health, as it has for many others. Visit our website for more information on acid and alkaline foods and beverages.
